About Me
Marta Persia's passion to help others when she started experiences 'hopelessness' in dialing with the systems of care and her son's health and education. She became the poster board model of encouragement as a parent leader.
Marta officially began her support groups in 2013 through NAMI which developed into her Inspiration Support Groups. She currently has 3 support groups (2 parent and 1 youth), a bilingual parent support groups, both in Meriden and one for the Spanish Community in Wallingford.
In addition to those support groups, Marta began work on her non-profit, Advocacy Academy Accomplish Education in which she has been assisting parents at PPT; s and helping them understand the IEP.
She is instrumental in making sure that all youth seeking to further their education after High School are given the tools they need regardless of a language barrier or a diagnosis, in addition, she assists in transiting from 8th grade to Hight School and those with challenges after High School.
Her passion are supported by her family and her son, Christopher who has become a Youth Champion assisting in her work.
